Wedding & Celebration cakes
Cakes :
**Please note that a deposit is required to book your cake, and is NON REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERRABLE as it books your date , this means that I will refuse further bookings for this date once a deposit is received.
Please note celebration cakes other than wedding cakes are for collection ONLY.
Terms and conditions
Deposits :
To secure your cake booking a non returnable non transferrable deposit is required of £50 (wedding cakes ) £20 (celebration cakes )
Dates cannot be held without a deposit
Deposits can be paid by cash , cheque, bank transfer or paypal ( an extra fee may be applied to paypal payments
Payment :Payment of your final balance is due 6 weeks before your wedding date and can be made in cash or by cheque, bank transfer
If an order is placed with less than six weeks remaining then the full amount is due on ordering.
Failure to make final payment by six week weeks may result in your cake order being cancelled.
Any dishonoured cheques will incur an additional charge of £25
Delivery: delivery is on a first come first served basis and cannot be guaranteed ,please confirm arrangements before booking your cake, please also inform your venue that your wedding cake will be delivered and make any necessary arrangements for a cake stand and cake table
A delivery note will require a signature by the person in charge to confirm that the cake has been delivered and is in perfect condition. Once delivered the full responsibility for the cake is with the client and Sweet Sam’s Cakes cannot be held responsible for any damage thereafter.
Delivery during unforeseen weather conditions may not be possible
Delivery is charged at 50 pence per mile round trip
Customers may choose to collect their cake from Sweet Sam’s , customers will be supplied with full instructions on storage. transport and assembly.
Cakes must be signed for on collection, once collected the customer is responsible for the cake, Sweet Sam’s Cakes are not liable for any damages thereafter. Please note wedding cakes may come in several boxes and may be very heavy, cakes are ideally to be transported in the boot of an air conditioned car.
Allergies special dietary requirements
Sweet Sam’s Cakes contain butter, flour (gluten) eggs and are made in an environment that handles nuts, soya and alcohol. Nut free and alcohol free cakes can be made upon request but cannot be guarantee that these cakes will not contain trace amounts of these ingredients.
Sweet Sam’s Cakes accepts no liability for customers suffering allergic reactions from eating our cakes. It is the responsibility of the customer to make Sweet Sam’s aware of any special dietary needs. If in doubt cakes should not be consumed . A full list of ingredients is available upon request.
Alterations and cancellations :
Alterations to your original cake design may be possible and every effort will be made to do so, all changes to your design should be made in writing and may involve and extra charge.
Cancellation of your wedding cake : Any work already completed may be charged for up to the full price of the cake
I may replace one or more tiers with a dummy tier, if the design calls for it, you will be informed which tiers are dummies and a cutting cake of the same quantity will be supplied
Cake stand hire: cake stand hire is for 1 day only , stands must be returned by customer in perfect condition, please do NOT wash cake stand as they scratch very easily.
If a cake stand is not returned within the specified time it will be charged at a daily rate and taken from your deposit
